End of June-July / Following Previous Show
Following the conclusion of one show, discussions commence a few weeks later regarding plans for the following year, focusing on Research and Development (R&D) and recruiting new members.
Summer Holidays
Following the conclusion of one show, discussions commence a few weeks later regarding plans for the following year, focusing on Research and Development (R&D) and recruiting new members.
September
The chosen ideas are refined and by the end of the month, one is finalised.
October - December
Weekly development sessions are conducted to prepare for script writing. Speaking about story, characters, marketing, set, props, costumes.
December
The script begins to take shape based on members' ideas, with ongoing R&D and frequent consultations with the writer/director.
January
Chosen ideas are refined. Finalisation of the script and casting of characters is done by the creative team and Blue Tees. Read through takes place with Staff and Volunteers reading and young people listening in. Young people provide feedback for minor adjustments. Scripts are printed and rehearsals commence.
February (Half Term)
Recruitment of new members pauses temporarily
End of January - June/July
Weekly rehearsals focus on preparing the group for production.
Post - Production
Emphasis shifts to collecting feedback and engaging in post-production activities.
We support individuals ages 4 and above across 3 age categories:
Child – Infant
School years: Year 1 to Year 2.
Child – Junior
School years: Year 3 to Year 6.
Child – Senior
School years: Year 7 to Year 13.
​Joining The Habbit Factory is completely fee-free, and we warmly welcome new members. While there is no obligation, we kindly suggest considering a monthly donation of £15 to support our ongoing work. It is worth highlighting that approximately 40% of our annual income comes from generous donations. Rest assured, we do not require any proof or validation regarding the amount you choose to contribute.
