SHOW COMPANY
FRONT OF HOUSE COMMITTEE
The Front of House (FoH) Committee includes one chair and five volunteers who give their time throughout various months of the year to support us. The team usually have their first meeting 3 months before a show to begin discussing, planning and researching their ideas. These meetings may then increase the closer it gets to a show and they will then volunteer on the weekend of the show.
Duties include creating a memorable experience for all audience members and using your initiative to help raise money for the charity across the whole weekend. This has been known to include a tuck shop, a raffle, and a name the bear stand. They also source decorations and set to make the experience more immersive for all. There is a maximum of 2 shows a year, Children’s Company and Pantomime.

COSTUME COMMITTEE
The Costume Committee includes one chair and three volunteers who give their time throughout various months of the year to support us. The team usually meet towards the beginning of the year to discuss potential costume options and accessories for both the Children’s Company and Pantomime.
During the summer the Costume Committee will begin planning and preparing costumes for our annual Pantomime, which for this committee is their biggest project. This usually includes sourcing, making and adapting 8 lead costumes, multiple Dame costumes and 15-20 chorus costumes.
The activity of the Costume Committee usually increases between the beginning of September and the middle of December. Previous Pantomime productions that our Costume Committee have volunteered for are Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Dick Whittington.

PROPS COMMITTEE
The Props Committee volunteer closely with our Artistic Director and CEO to creatively propel all of our productions to new levels. Both our Children’s Company and the Pantomime project will always need props to help bring the story to life and to engage audience members further.
The team usually meet 3-5 months before a show to begin planning, building, making and ordering. They will then be required to do a hand over to the Backstage Crew or to support them over show weekend.
In the past the set has been built from scratch, hired or bought in, it is dependent on the team and the production, but it may mean that sometimes you may be asked to support with this too.

BACKSTAGE CREW
The Backstage Crew support us across both productions, our Children’s Company show and our Pantomime.
The team are in charge of loading and unloading set, setting up the stage at the start of the show, managing it throughout and then resetting it at the end of a show, storing the set safely in the wings at all times, assisting in putting microphones on and off of the cast and sometimes pulling the main curtain. The set will always vary as it will be dependent on the show.
This volunteering role would be two weekends a year.

CHILDREN'S CHAPERONES
A Children's Chaperone supports our Children’s Company show and our Pantomime show backstage.
Ideally a person interested in this role will either already have a Chaperone License or an enhanced DBS and safeguarding certificate so that the team can apply for a Chaperone License for you. Please note you must be living in Havering for this. Within this role, an individual would be responsible for looking after our young people alongside other Chaperone’s and our Blue Tee Company on show weekends.
