The Habbit Factory Presents BLOCK – A Gritty, Heartfelt, and Unmissable New Production

Performance Dates: Saturday 21st June & Sunday 22nd June, 7:30 PM
Venue: Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch

BLOCK. A powerful, funny, and moving new show researched and developed by its Infant, Junior & Senior Members alongside the in-workshop Volunteers known as the Blue Tees.

Written by Lee Giles and choreographed by Hannah-Marie Salmon, BLOCK brings to life a diverse community of characters in one shared space, navigating rivalries, friendships, and change.

The block folk and house folk have always kept their distance, but when the community is rocked by an unexpected event, cracks begin to form. Not just in the block, but in old ways of thinking.

BLOCK is an original musical theatre piece which uses well known music, explores themes of belonging, teamwork, and self-discovery. With football rivalries, cryptic wisdom, a local band, and a journey to true love, BLOCK follows one year in one courtyard, creating one unforgettable story.

Why You Should See BLOCK:
✔ A compelling, original story developed and performed by 145 young people
✔ A high-energy production filled with drama, comedy and an inclusive cast
✔ A celebration of community spirit that will capture audiences of all ages

Lee Giles, Writer & Artistic Director, says:
"BLOCK is one of the most unique stories we’ve ever created. As always, the script, themes, and characters were all shaped through conversations, ideas, and experiences shared by our young people. It’s a story that belongs to them, and we can’t wait to share it with the wider community."

Tickets will be on sale soon! Stay tuned for details on how to book.
