Venue: Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch

In this brand new musical, written and performed by 160 young people and 31 volunteer Blue Tees of The Habbit Factory, we meet Hatch, the 1 in 1000 hatchling who dives headfirst into an extraordinary underwater adventure.
From crabs, casinos and pufferfish yoga classes to seahorse maternity wards and starfish film sets, Hatch encounters a colourful cast of characters while searching for identity, friendship, and family. But danger lurks in the deep… the mysterious Codfather has plans of his own.
Packed with humour, heart, and popular musical numbers, 1 in 1000 is a vibrant underwater odyssey about belonging, bravery, and the power of community.

A message from Artistic Director Lee Giles:
"I’ve described this year’s script as my favourite for a summer show yet. Some might say I say that every year, and they may not be wrong, but there is something special about this one. The ideas generated by our young people and Blue Tees gave me a huge amount to work with and I was able to flex my dad-joke writing muscles more than ever before. I also love that the story centres largely on one character, a character whose purity and innocence run throughout the piece and, in my opinion, truly reflects THF as an organisation"
Don't just take our word for it...
